Sam Torn '19

Sam Torn ’19 was recently featured in the Texas A&M Mays Business School’s Magazine, highlighting his vision for leadership with remarkable humility.  Sam is a third-generation Aggie and a senior in the Mays Business School Professional Program in Accounting.  Sam credits his professors and expressed appreciation for the leadership development he experienced as part of Mays Business Fellows and Business Honors. Sam also credits his experience at Houston Christan and his supportive teachers.

“As a result of my Houston Christian experience, I was able to build on my leadership through the courses provided throughout my high school career, as well as through sports and other avenues. What is special about Houston Christian is the hands-on learning you experience, as well as how the teachers pour into you and care about you even outside of the classroom. Through classes with Colonel Wilson and the numerous presentations, I was able to hone my public speaking and leadership skills, which served me well throughout college and beyond. The amount of people who pour into you, want you to succeed, and are in your corner is second to none at Houston Christian. “
