Livingston Learning Commons
Our library -- also known as The Livingston Learning Commons -- is the busiest place on campus and we love it that way! Made to stimulate collaboration and inquiry, Houston Christian’s learning commons partners traditional resources with the latest in digital technology. Furnished with print volumes and nearly 5 million ebooks, research journals, encyclopedias, periodicals, and videos through our online databases, the learning commons is always refreshing its collection with new volumes and resources.
Our certified library media specialist partners with our faculty to bring wrap-around support to all students as they build the research skills needed for college. All courses are vetted to ensure the alignment of curriculum and research skills to advance the different grade levels at the appropriate pace. Our library media specialist also encourages a lifelong love of reading among our students and faculty by facilitating campus-wide reading clubs, advertisements, and promoting faculty authors.
Whether looking for a fun read over the summer or extensive research for a 50-page paper, Houston Christian students have the means to explore, discover, and produce their highest quality work.
