  • Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach 26-27

    Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach
     
    Houston Christian High School (HCHS), a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position paid with a stipend. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary. 
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of Girls’ Lacrosse, coaching high school athletes, and development of assistant coaches. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director  and is responsible for the overall operations of the program, in and out of season. Additional duties of the head coach include working in coordination with the Athletic Director to manage program budget, supervise activities and promote positive community relations. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.
     
    Minimum Requirements:
     
    • Broad knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of Girls’ Lacrosse program operations.
    • Ability to supervise and evaluate the coaching responsibilities of assistant coaches.
    • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of SPC policies and HC policies governing athletics.

Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. The Boys’ Baseball Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director  and is responsible for the overall operations of the program, in and out of season. Additional duties of the head coach include working in coordination with the Athletic Director to manage program budget, supervise activities and promote positive community relations.     QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
    • Minimum of five years coaching experience preferred 
    • Ability to supervise and evaluate the coaching responsibilities of assistant baseball coaches.
    • High level of knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of baseball program operations, including a practice plan that has a high level of development.
    • Strong work ethic, energetic, enthusiastic, flexible.
    • Excellent communication which includes interactive social media experience.
    • Exhibit strong public relations which includes building relationships across the  spectrum of the school and the athletic community
    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.  
    • Collaborative, servant leadership-oriented management.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.  
    • Able to motivate student athletes to reach their full athletic potential.
    • Proficient in basic technology applications, specifically Google Apps knowledge (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).
    • Understand and agree with the philosophy and mission of HC.
    • Ability and desire to guide students toward the fulfillment of their God given potential for spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

This full-time, exempt position offers the opportunity to teach a variety of high school physics courses, tailored to your expertise and the department's needs. You will play a vital role in nurturing students' scientific curiosity and equipping them with the knowledge and skills for success in the 21st century, specifically in the field of physics.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Deliver engaging and rigorous physics instruction to high school students, incorporating 21st-century skills and innovative teaching methods.
    • Develop and implement physics curriculum aligned with departmental standards and student learning objectives, including laboratory experiments and demonstrations.

We're seeking a dedicated Robotics and Engineering Instructor to join our team for the 2026-27 academic year. This role offers the chance to build and expand our program, teach a variety of engineering and robotics courses, and inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists.     Latin Instructor
     
    Houston Christian High School (HC) is accepting applications for the position of Latin Instructor for the 2026-27 academic year. This position reports to the World Language Department Chair and Principal and works in collaboration with other Teachers and Faculty. This is a full-time, exempt position. Experience in teaching different levels is beneficial. The specific teaching assignment will be determined according to department needs. 
     
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree, in Education, Latin, or other relevant area.
    • Teacher certification or equivalent preferred.
    • Classroom Experience.
    • Proficient in basic technology applications, specifically Google Apps knowledge (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).
    • Excellent verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Represent the school in a positive light.

    Qualified candidates must be skilled and have a passion to provide classroom instruction. Effective organizational and presentation skills are necessary. The successful candidate will be energetic and creative and possess a vision for excellence in academics at the high school level, a strong work ethic, and a desire to achieve success. Experience and willingness to coach an athletic sport is beneficial and could be compensated with a stipend.
